About Me

You might have noticed that I’ve been absent from my blog for a year.  These days you can find me over at Atelier26 Books where I’m the publicist. If you have a moment, I would love it if you checked out this beautiful press at Our latest release is Margaret Malone’s People Like You and it’s fantastic!

I still review books at Foreword Reviews. Other reviews can be found at  Portland Book Review.

I hope to start posting again in a few months. Send me your books if you want me to give them a mention. I prefer literary fiction, history, memoir, and graphic novels, but I’ll consider most anything EXCEPT romance, Christian-themed, or YA novels.  I’m usually three months out.

Diane: I love your blog. Please keep giving me more of the same. More often than not your reviews of author events at Powell’s are so engaging that I am compelled to travel to Powell’s and purchase all the books the author has written. Powell’s should cherish what you do for them and so should the authors.

    • Thank you so much John! One of the greatest delights to come from all the Powell’s readings is meeting you. Your love of books and authors inspires me, and your generosity of spirit inspires me. I am thinking of how I can continue my blog, and will let you know what I decide.

  2. Your blog is a fine example of astute commentary and simply enjoyable reading. Thus, I have nominated you for a Very Inspirational Blogger Award. I have added a link to your blog on a post regarding this award. If you choose to accept, please read the aforementioned post on my blog http://www.poetryfortheliving, to see what comes next. Regardless of your response, best regards.

  3. Thanks so much, Cynthia – what an honor!

  4. Thanks, Diane, for “liking” the poem “Rope Swinging” on my poetry blog this week. I enjoy your posts!
